SNITCHES

August 5, 2011 – It struck me like a bolt of lightening!  I jumped out of bed.  bRAINSTORM!  Nut with wings I opened my treasure box, grabbed the precious black walnut shell  and ran downstairs to find the maple wings and put them together on a canvas dappled with varying shades of sky blues.

I found the perfect wings for lil hoot.  I would need to add these wings to my avatar and get her ready to bolt.

After sipping down a quick cup of lemon tea, I went out for my morning walk and gathered some notable pieces of trash.  Funny stuff!

The first item was a slip of paper that seemed of no consequence until several paces further I found a plastic bottle cap, looking like a weeny cup, big enough to hold a sip of water – a sippy cup.  Walking makes me thirsty, and I imagine flying will make lil hoot thirsty, too.

I am not certain how to interpret the next finding, a glossy mailer promoting the new fashion.

Wait, let me google something... “gold,” “value,” “update”.  Wow!  Gold has already risen 15 points today on the commodities market, and it’s only 11am.  This should be fun to watch over the next couple of weeks.

Next I found a broken beer bottle with dangerously sharp teeth... a bottle not to be handled by young children or infants.  Appropriately, the label was Landshark.

One definition of a landshark is a person who comes out of nowhere and snags another person's food before they know what's happening.  Have you ever been sitting in a restaurant and had your father or a friend snitch a french fry when you weren't looking?  Snitch.  Watch out!  Landshark!

The next piece of trash totally cracked me up, an empty container that held a healthy serving of Italian Ice.

Take a close look.  Scrutinize.  Is this guy kissing a golden snitch?  Or (gasp) does he look like he just accidently let something slip through his lips?  Or does he look like he's buttoning up his lips?  Or is he snitching a french fry?

The last item I found was a Bubblicious gum wrapper.

I studied the logo, which turned sideways, made me think of winking lion, which brought to mind a wrapper I’d found a long time ago... from one of my very first storywalking adventures... all about lemonade... here’s the old wrapper... Scrutinize this.  Look in the upper left corner.  Funny!  I’ve been noticing a lot of lions this week, maybe because it’s August and the time for Leos.  I like the August cover of Sun Magazine.  Courage, mes enfants, ca va bien.

What comes next?
