On the morning of June 12, heading out for my daily walk, I was questioning what might be the next creative project I take on. Clues and answers began to appear just a few steps away. Here’s a logging of that particular morning’s collection of clues, in the order they appeared, with my interpretation: 1) Two paper cups, both “New England Frozen Lemonade” variety Interpretation: “When life gives you lemons make lemonade! Do you know that lemonade made with real lemons can help the body to prevent disease? 2) Plastic cup, completely crushed, “ Interpretation: “It’s time to rewrite that web page about lemons and disease 3) Empty bottle, Powerade (water, corn syrup, and ingredients that are hard to pronounce) Interpretation: “None of that crap. The ingredients must be all natural.” 4) Empty bottle, Brick Lemon Ice Tea Interpretation: “This is a solid idea! Include content about delicious herbal lemon tea recipes and their natural healing properties!” 5) Juicy Fruit container Interpretation: “And don’t forget to include some other fruits into your recipes!” 6) Japanese candy wrapper, with lemon graphic, Lion Brand Interpretation: “Have fun with this idea! Be brave, be bold, 7) Wrigley’s gum reflective paper wrapper Interpretation: “Reflect on this! Then just start writing!”
I walk just about everyday, and it always strikes me funny that when I walk with a question
in my head, the answer comes to me inspired by a piece of trash or an object of nature that
I find along the sidewalk. Some might call it the game played by an active imagination, but
I’m fairly certain that these objects are in fact messages left by angels.

prevention. You’ve been thinking about it for a long time now. Get to work!
and go for it!”

or use a sharp stick to pick up the items so that you don’t pick up any germs. When you
get home, make a list of the items you found. Pick out three items and take ten minutes to
write about them and whatever else comes to mind.
